DiveData 2000 - Records Management For Dive Clubs

Updates and Patches

If you have downloaded the full version of Dive Data recently then you will be up to date with all features. However you may have taken over a Dive Data installation from someone who was using an earlier version. If so, these patches may help you get to the current version - but please keep a backup of your data before you run them.

BSAC Training Update (2002)

The British Sub-Aqua Club has recently announced a new training syllabus for Ocean Diver, Sports Diver, Dive Leader and Advanced Diver. The new training courses begin in September 2002 although you can continue to teach the old courses to anyone who is part-way through a course.

This patch (57Kb) updates your Dive Data 2000 database with the new courses and lessons and renames the previous courses to make their validity dates clearer. Simply download the patch to your Dive Data directory and run it.

Medicals and Self-Certification

Version 1.04.0143

Recently the UK Diving Agencies (BSAC, SAA and SSAC) have decided to scrap the requirement for medicals, replacing them with a self-certification. This has had a number of knock-on effects for the medical reminder functionality offered by Dive Data 2000.

This patch replaces the medical reminder reports with versions that refer to self-certification forms instead. It also changes the wording of the BSAC subscription renewal letter because their form only needs to be signed once since they abolished their infamous "criminal records involving minors" declaration.

Time-Limited Database Format

From Version 1.04.0138 onwards

We have changed the Dive Data 2000 license model to allow one-year and three-year licenses in addition to the previous open-ended license. This has required that the Version 1.03.0xxx database structure is updated to store the expiry date of the license.
