Meetings
The meetings section lists the Place, Day of the week and Time at which
branch meetings take place. For the majority of branches the details of the pool
session are given, but some branches have provided details of their social
sessions instead. (You can tell which is which as the address is either a
swimming pool or a pub!)
Branch Contact
This section gives the name, address and phone number of the branch contact
person. This is frequently, but not exclusively, the membership secretary. This
name and address is particularly important as it is this information that is
used to set the return name and address for letters originating from the branch,
such as requests for subscription payments.
Officers
This section allows you to enter the Names and Phone numbers of the other
elected officers of the branch. This information changes too fast to be supplied
with Dive Data 2000, and it is likely you will only want to record it for your
own branch and perhaps a handful of other branches with which you deal. This
information is stored in the database as part of the branch record, so can be
held for other branches without you needing to create a diver record for each
local clubs’ officers.
