The services page lists the
service history of the item. The columns show the date the service was
performed, what kind of service, the cost and the Dive shop or service
agent who performed the service.
Across the top of the page are
listed the service interval, in years, and the date the next service is
due. Note that the Services tab and Next Service Due text are highlighted
in yellow if a service is due in the next month, and red if the service is
overdue.
The next service due is
calculated as the date of the last service plus the service interval.
However, if the item is new and no services have been performed the date
of purchase is used rather than date of last service.
With items such as cylinders
where some of the “service life” has been used between manufacture and
sale it may be worth entering a dummy “manufacturers inspection”
service so that the next service is set for the correct date. For example,
consider a tank that was manufactured and stamped in July 1998, but not
sold until February 1999. In this case we will want the cylinder to be
retested in July not February, so entering a manufacturers service for
July 1998 will start the clock running at the correct point.
To enter a new service record
click the New button on the services page this will cause a sub-form to appear
where you can enter details of the service.

The Date and Diveshop are
entered in the usual way. The type of service can either be chosen from
the dropdown list or a new one entered by typing it in directly. The notes
section allows you to enter comments and reminders.
